Brief Biography
Mark Sniadecki is a Visiting Assistant
Professor of Integrated New Media Studies. An
undergraduate alumnus of IU South Bend, he
earned his M.F.A. in Studio Art (Digital Art) at
Indiana University, Bloomington. Previously he
has been an instructor teaching digital art at
the University of Alabama, Tuscaloosa.
Sniadecki's creative expertise spans a wide range of digital media
formats, including graphic design, digital painting, video art,
animation, and 3-D modeling for virtual reality, rendering, and
printing. He has past experience in ceramics. Strongly influenced by a
lifelong interest in the natural sciences, his work often seeks out
the biomorphic or geologic structures that emerge through iterative
processing. His approach regularly favors experimentation, analysis,
and thoughtful, reactive editing to hone results toward aesthetic
unity and balance.
