Current Research Projects
- Complex Event Processing: In this project we investigate the use of complex event processing for various application domains. Currently we are working on extending the existing event processing architecture to support secure processing of events and various types of events.
- Collaborators: Dr. Sharma Chakravarthy, UT Arlington
- Event and Data Stream Processing: With smart gadgets and devices becoming ubiquitous and interwoven with our daily activities, they play a critical role in improving our quality of life. In this project we are investigating how to securely process data. We are also
investigating novel load shedding techniques for stream processing.

- Collaborators: Dr. Indrakshi Ray, Colorado State
- Access Control - Seamless, Usable, Effective: Authorized access is provided by access control models and mechanisms. In this project we are investigating on how to make access control more usable and support multiple policies.
- CS Education: In this computer science education research, we are exploring ways of improving teaching core computer science concepts and programming.
- Collaborators: Dr. Hossein Hakimzadeh, IU South Bend
- IU Test: IU Test is a web based tool that allows students to take tests online. IU Test can be used in different ways; Pre and Post assessment of students in various courses and levels. It will enable instructors to conduct online tests and quizzes and analyze the outcomes.
